Responsibilities & Context
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of gray fabrics and manage the overall operations of the gray fabric store.
- Ensure timely receipt and delivery of gray fabrics to meet production and buyer requirements.
- Utilize Bin Cards for each item to maintain detailed records and support Management Information Systems (MIS).
Storage and Organization
- Implement proper storage methods for gray fabrics, organizing them by lot, count, and batch to optimize space and minimize damage.
- Store all materials in a manner that meets buyer compliance requirements.
- Develop strategies to reduce fabric damage, save space, and increase operational efficiency.
Coordination with Other Departments
- Collaborate with the Batch Preparation and Gray Inspection teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Deliver finished and stock lot fabrics to the appropriate buyers, adhering to delivery orders.
- Monitor inbound and outbound goods to ensure accurate delivery and receipt of fabrics.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain and update the store ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Supervise the maintenance of delivery records in the prescribed register.
- Ensure accurate documentation for each delivery and provide correct documentation to support traceability.
Operational Excellence
- Follow and implement operational strategies and procedures according to company policies.
- Monitor warehouse activities to ensure correct and safe storage of fabrics and efficient use of warehouse space.
- Develop and maintain a software-based system for fabric deliveries to the production floor, aligned with production plans.
Leadership and Training
- Lead and guide warehouse personnel to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Provide training to subordinates as needed to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to operational standards.
- Ensure the warehouse team is aligned with safety protocols and operational best practices.
Reporting and Communication
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly stock reports to management.
- Update management on inventory levels, operational status, and any issues that may impact warehouse operations.
Safety and Security
- Ensure the warehouse environment is safe and secure, adhering to safety protocols.
- Implement measures to safeguard inventory and prevent loss or damage.
