Requirements

Education

  • Essential education in Bachelor in Social Science, Communication/Journalism or Medical/Paramedical with strong focus on health messaging blended with digitalized methods (graphics knowledge, Adobe illustrator etc.). Essential education/Experience in Graphic design, Adobe Illustrator etc.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong preference to have practical experience in graphics designing (Adobe illustrator) blended in community health messages.
  • Exposure to Digital Health Promotion will be a strong benefit. Candidates will be prioritized over the field of experience.
  • Rohingya/Chittagonian and English language essential.
  • Graphics designing, Adobe illustrator, computer literacy: all incorporated into health messages.

Responsibilities & Context

  •  Inform patients and communities about MSF and services it provides.
  •  According to medical priorities, deliver information to the patients and community on specific health topics.
  •  Implement activities of health education and awareness (sessions in schools, churches, community), under the indications and supervision of the HPCE Manager.
  •  Under the guide of HPCE Manager, assess the impact of activities (with questions, verifications and behaviors observations), and report problems, success and constraints to him/her.
  •  Collect all type of information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, in particular to identify the most vulnerable populations to target.
  •  Participate in creation of any material needed for the activities of information, education and communication.
  •  Report to HPCE Manager: activities, problems met strengths and constraints.
  • MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
  • General Health Promotion:
  •  Development of audience-specific health promotion and community engagement contents/ materials with specific focus on SGBV/SRH, mental health, vaccination, hygiene, Gender Diverse Population, child and adolescent health with the support of HPAM/ Dep MTL/Supervisors or Managers from relevant departments to raise awareness in the community as well as in Balukhali SOPD.
  •  According to medical priorities and contextual justification, support the revision of existing and development of new IEC materials (acceptance, relevance, usability, physical condition) with diversification of the topic, delivery methods and key messages; adapted to the local context in collaboration with relevant supervisor/manager. Pre-testing of these materials/ methods before application in the community with support of HP supervisor.
  •  Being responsible for all IEC materials, development of IEC “toolbox,” to ensure soft copies of all approved materials are easily accessible by department managers and supervisors. Keeping updated record on existing IEC materials (hard copies).
  •  Support HP supervisors and HPAM on the training and implementation of approved IEC materials for Community Health workers (CHWs including CBC).
  •  Conduct routine supportive supervision and provide technical support to CHWs, to ensure proper use of IEC materials and methods.
  •  Collaborate with HP Supervisors to inspire CHWs to use creative and active presentation methods such as debates, role-plays, storytelling, songs, Quiz, Drawing sessions etc.
  •  Support HP supervisor and HP Activity Manager in building two-way communication process through organizing Focus group discussion, patient satisfaction survey, interviews, surveys and other relevant community dialogues.
  •  Participate in field visit in collaboration with the respective HP supervisor assigned to respective geo-locations for outreach activities to evaluate the potential of specific outdoor community engaging activity other than HP sessions.
  •  Arrange monthly meeting with all departments to provide update and take feedback on the current/expected IEC material/content and generate archived meeting minutes.
  • Digital Health Promotion:
  •  Support in the development of different health promotion/health messaging ideas like drama, role-play, songs, rhyme, animations, posters, storyboard ideas for Digital Health Promotion (DHP) in collaboration with the technical experts and HP Activity Manager/supervisor.
  •  Receive training and briefing regarding the DHP-wise operation of the social media that will be used as media (Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Imo). Act as a critical analyzer of the community culture, concern and consent and providing support to the graphics designer for developing digital content. Provide suggestions, doing the primary evaluation of digital content based on the experience of the community and context.
  •  Prepare FAQs on MSF general service information, SRH, SGBV, Gender Diverse Population, MH, vaccination, child and adolescent health. Being responsible for translation and sharing with HP supervisor and HPAM.
  •  Preparing pre-testing questionnaire based on MSF DHP content pre-test guide and conducting pre-test on the targeted community for understanding the community appropriateness of developed digital IEC materials.
  •  Act as a media operator for responding chats, calls, comments, and messages and replay to the audience according to approved FAQs and response guide. Provide input to HPAM.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Permanent Contract-Salary according to level 05 (Five) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 56,000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
