Requirements

Education

• Master of Science (MSc), Master of Social Science (MSS)

• Postgraduate in science or social science/or Post Graduate in the field of Ophthalmology/ MPH·
• Certificate course in community Ophthalmology/Clinical Ophthalmology.
• Training in the field of community ophthalmology.

Experience

• 5 to 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Hospital

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 45 years

• Minimum of 05 years teaching experience in an Ophthalmic Institute.
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in an Eye Hospital.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill and must have strong command of the English language.
• Good Communication and presentation skills and the ability to draft research papers for publication in academic journals and /or training.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: Dr.K.Zaman BNSB Eye Hospital, 193 Shehara Dhopakhola Road Mymensingh a tertiary level eye care institution is looking for eligible personnel for the following position.

Responsibility

• To develop research objectives, projects and proposals, undertake research and evaluate outcomes. Conduct individual or collaborative research projects. Identify sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds, Plan. Coordinate and Implement research programmes in accordance with Hospital strategy, policy and procedures and funder requirements. Extend, transform and apply knowledge acquired from research and appropriate external activities.
• Contribute to learning and teaching programmes within and outside the Hospital/Institute and supervise research students.
• Act as principal investigator or co-investigator on research projects.
• Develop research objectives, projects and proposals.
• Conduct individual or collaborative research projects.
• Identify sources of funding and contributing to the process of securing funds.
• Extend, Transform and apply knowledge acquired from scholarship to research appropriate to the discipline.
• Writing or Contributing to publications or disseminating research findings using media appropriate to the discipline.
• Make presentations at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate events.
• Assess, interpret and evaluate outcomes of research.
• Develop new concept and ideas to extend intellectual understanding.
• Dissolve problems of meeting research objectives and deadlines.
• Develop ideas for generating income, promoting research area and influencing leading edge practice.
• Develop ideas for application of research outcomes.
• Decide on search programmes and methodologies, often in collaboration with colleagues and some times subject to approval of the head of the research programme on fundamental issues.
• Contribute to knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.
• Act as research team leader.
• Participate in and Develop external Networks, for example to identify sources of funding, generate income, obtain consultancy projects or build relationships for future activities.
• Assess, interpret and evaluate outcomes of research.
• Resolve problems of meeting research objectives and deadlines.
• Develop ideas for generating income and promoting research area.
• Develop ideas for application of research outcomes Decide on research programmes and methodologies.
