Responsibilities & Context
The primary responsibilities will be to provide dental care services to outpatient department of two primary health care center in Rohingya Camps. The candidate will have a strong background in dental science both through education and work experience. The focus of the role is to assess and diagnose and treat dental conditions which are as follows: Dental check-up and screening, Management of Dental carries and cavities, Filling of Root canal, Tooth Extraction, Scaling, Oral hygiene promotion and Management of any Dental emergencies.
• Responsible for performing treatment procedures as per health sector standard. Provide
personalized and professional advice to beneficiaries.
• Diagnose Dental problems and symptoms. Build good & strong relationship with patients by providing good services.
• Support Electronic Medical Records data entry and rational use of drugs.
• Consult with patients to ascertain the dental issues they are facing. Assess and investigate patients’ issues using a variety of techniques, including systemic examinations, and following standard SOP.
• Diagnose patients’ conditions and develop treatment plans to improve or cure their conditions. Prescribe medication where required. Monitor patients’ progress and note any significant changes, including improvement or deterioration.
• Make referrals to other healthcare service providers when needed.
• Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of their condition and proper dental hygiene regimens when needed.
• Regularly attend conferences, workshops, and other medical and dental lectures to maintain a good standard of knowledge and best practices.
• Demonstrate ability to investigate and diagnose various dental complaints.
• Ensure routine record keeping and reporting as per set standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills
Other tasks
– Watching over the rational use of medicines
– Participating in the management of the health care team
– Participating in team meetings
– Collecting statistical data on a weekly/monthly basis
– Pointing out all dysfunctions in the organisation of care to the supervisor or referral doctor
– Accept other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager
