Experience:

In-depth knowledge of quality control, safety, and environmental regulations.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities & Context
Bangladesh Petrochemical Company Limited (BPCL) is seeking to hire a Production/Factory Manager for Plastic Waste Management & Recycling. BPCL has pioneered the concept of creating worth out of waste in Bangladesh being the first and only postconsumer food grade PET bottle to bottle recycling plant in the nation. BPCL was incorporated in 2011 and started its commercial operation in July 2016. Till date, BPCL has contributed to recycling over 2,200,000,000 (220 crore) used PET bottles, preventing them from getting dumped into the ground/river/drain, reducing 28,000 tons of Green House Gas emissions. BPCL’s bottle collection supply chain has provided an income to 35,000 waste pickers by procuring BDT 1 billion (100 crore) worth of discarded PET bottles.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient and timely completion of production schedules.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, chemical, Electricity, Boiler cost and improve product quality.
Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to address any deviations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the production team including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to implement quality control procedures and resolve any quality issues.
Assurance of consistent quality product through constant interaction with QA department·
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any production-related defects.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Promote a safe working environment through training, audits, and continuous improvement of safety practices.
Address any safety incidents promptly and effectively.
Manage production Plan, budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
Work closely with other departments such as R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment of production goals with business objectives.
Participate in new product development and launch processes, providing input on manufacturability and production feasibility.
Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
