Job Context:
Meghna Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd. (MPPML) one of the sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) which involves in producing Paper and Stationary items (e.g. Tissue, Offset paper, Pen, Pencil, Sharpener, Eraser, Scale etc.). Currently, MGI is looking for some proactive and skilled professionals in the mechanical department of MPPML. This position will perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities and the incumbent will report to the functional head for the duties and responsibilities.
Job Description:
- Oversee the physical inspection and execution of preventive, reactive, and predictive maintenance for all machinery to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems in paper machines and other equipment to prevent downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Calculate and plan the required manpower and materials needed to effectively complete maintenance jobs on time.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules to ensure timely upkeep and minimize machine downtime.
- Prepare a list of required mechanical spare parts and coordinate with the departmental head to ensure timely procurement and availability of critical components.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for the manpower team and plant to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Accurately record and control overtime, leave, machine checklists, and other documentation to ensure proper workforce management and accountability.
- Regularly inspect machinery performance to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on best practices for machinery maintenance and safety procedures.
- Work closely with production, quality, and other departments to align maintenance activities with overall operational goals and minimize machine downtime.
