  • Good computer knowledge of MS Office.

  • Flexibility to handle varied and demanding tasks and ability to balance priorities.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team, and to be flexible to accommodate the needs of stakeholders.

  • Ability to lead the assignment and the team with remote supervision.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: BLAST is a leading national legal aid and human rights organization providing legal advice, mediation, and litigation services, and undertaking advocacy to ensure the rights of women, men, and children living in poverty or facing discrimination/social exclusion. BLAST works through its Head Office in Dhaka and 25 District-level Offices with 2600+ panel lawyers and 100+partner organizations.BLAST is seeking an SRHR Coordinator for “Improving Access to Rights-based Reproductive Health Services in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh” (CRR funded). The project aims to provide legal services – legal literacy, legal advice, information, referral, mediation, and where appropriate litigation in Rohingya Camps to ensure access to justice for individuals in the community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Partner Organizations and Health Sector Actors:

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner organizations and health sector actors involved in the project.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps and coordination-related requirements in the implementation of the project initiatives.

    • Regularly communicate and exchange information with partners to ensure a coordinated approach.

  • Data Collection and Case Studies: 

    • Attending campsite management meetings and collect data on the cases received by partners.

    • Compile and analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and success stories related to SRHR services.

    • Prepare comprehensive case studies highlighting the impact of SRHR programs and interventions.

  • Coordination Meetings:

    • Organize and facilitate coordination meetings involving relevant stakeholders, including partner organizations and healthcare providers.

    • Present and discuss program updates, challenges, and achievements during the meetings.

    • Document decisions are taken in the meetings and ensure their execution through regular follow- ups with responsible parties.

  • Referral Mechanism and Advocacy:

    • Identify gaps and weaknesses in the referral mechanism for SRHR services.

    • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to develop strategies for improving the referral system.

    • Initiate advocacy efforts to address systemic barriers and ensure timely and efficient referral processes.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare regular reports on the progress and outcomes of SRHR coordination activities.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of meetings, decisions, and actions taken.

    • Contribute to the organization’s knowledge management system by sharing best practices and lessons learned.

  • Capacity Building:

    • Identify training needs among partner organizations and health sector actors.

    • Coordinate and deliver capacity-building initiatives, including workshops and training sessions, to enhance the skills and knowledge of stakeholders.

  • Networking and Collaboration:

    • Actively engage in networking activities to establish new partnerships and collaborations in the field of SRHR.

    • Participate in relevant forums, conferences, and working groups to share experiences and contribute to the advancement of SRHR goals.

  • Gender and PSEA Focal Person:

    • Implement the Gender, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Sexual Harassment and Elimination (SHE) Policies within the projects implemented at Cox’s Bazar as Gender and PSEA Focal Person and reporting.

  • Project Management:

    • Donor communication, project reporting, and FD 6 and 7 applications need an assessment process.
