Job Purpose
To develop and implement digital interventions to assist microfinance program to optimize process, increase operational efficiency, reduce costs while ensuring program’s long-term sustainability and establish digital ecosystem that will support microfinance clients to adapt better to the changing digital landscape of the microfinance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement verified digital products and an easy MFS based payment system specially for Microfinance clients by:
- Supporting partner organisation in designing the platform better
- Facilitating requirements for developing the features in the financial application-based core banking system
- Coordinating the technical integration & improving reporting system
- Ensuring smooth field execution through campaign activities
Ensure smooth MFS based disbursement and payment collection through mobile money:
- Disbursement in mobile wallet
- Payment Collection through Auto Debit
- Payment Collection through App/ USSD Code
Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and information at both strategic & Operational levels.
Set objectives, manage activities, follow the process, plan field visits, organise meeting/workshops & assess and share the findings.
Develop financial literacy among microfinance clients that enables clients to make or get payments through mobile money.
Work closely with the technical teams responsible for the design and delivery of products.
Maintain communication with relevant colleagues and manage partnership with different stakeholders for implementing digital products initiatives to build an effective digital platform.
Evaluate the current state of knowledge and practices within the different programmes on the national landscape and translate the knowledge into programmatic manuvour for decision-making process.
Collect feedback from field operations and incorporate it into the project to serve the clients more effectively.
Introduce new know-how to expand the use of digital platforms under Financial Inclusion services.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
