Research Triangle Institute (RTI) has over 30 years’ experience assisting governments, communities, and the private sector. RTI’s Global Health Division (GHD) within the International Development Group, works in Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases; Global Health Security and Public Preparedness; Heath Systems Strengthening – including Health Governance, Health Finance, Human Resources for Health, Capacity Building, and Health Policy and Advocacy; and Integrated Care – including Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health and Family Planning. Program Description

USAID/Bangladesh has recently awarded RTI a $60 million USD, five-year Cooperative Agreement to strengthen local level health systems to deliver quality, equitable public health services while optimizing resources to improve the health status of all Bangladeshis residing at the local level.

This Activity will focus on the following four objectives: 1) Strengthen Systems for Local-Level Evidence-Based Planning, 2) Strengthen Systems to Deliver Equitable, Quality, Integrated Local Level Public Health Services, 3)

Improve Enabling Environment to Operate Local Level Public Health Systems, and 4) Improve Local Level Public Health System Resilience.
Position Description
-
RTI is seeking an Adaptive Management & Innovation Specialist in Bangladesh. This position will play a key role in ensuring the success of the SLLHS activity by leading adaptive management, innovation, and learning efforts. Reporting to the Senior Advisor of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Research, this position will work closely with program staff and partners to design and implement adaptive management and innovative approaches that respond effectively to local level health systems needs.
Responsibilities
-
Lead the design and implementation of adaptive management approaches to ensure the SLLHS program can respond effectively to changes in the operating environment and achieve its objectives.

Facilitate a culture of learning within the program, ensuring that lessons are captured, shared, and used to inform decision-making.

Identify and nurture locally-led innovations for replication and scale-up
-
Support the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans, including the use of data for decision-making and course correction.

Ensure that MEL activities are aligned with program objectives and USAID requirements.

Work closely with program staff and partners to regularly review progress, identify challenges, and adjust strategies as needed.

Build the capacity of program staff, partners, and stakeholders in adaptive management, innovation, and learning approaches.

Build and maintain relationships with relevant actors in the health sector to promote innovation and learning.

Prepare regular reports on the program’s adaptive management, innovation, and learning activities for internal and external audiences.

Ensure that lessons learned, and best practices are documented and shared appropriately.

Provide technical support to program teams in the design and implementation of activities related to adaptive management, innovation, and learning.

Stay abreast of latest trends and developments in adaptive management and innovation in the health sector and incorporate these into program activities.

Ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations, as well as with RTI and local government policies and procedures.

Support the Senior Advisor in the preparation of reports and other deliverables required by USAID.
