• Solid experience with Windows and Linux server environments.

• Knowledge of security standards, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, office-based with some potential for remote work.

• Availability for on-call support as needed during off-hours for critical issues.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary:

The Senior Executive – Systems and Network is responsible for leading the design, deployment, management, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud platforms. The role involves ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability to meet the needs of the organization. The position requires both technical expertise and leadership to guide a team and manage critical IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

System and Network Design & Architecture:

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable and secure IT systems and network infrastructure.

• Plan, configure, and implement physical and virtual server environments.

• Architect and implement networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity.

Network and System Administration:

• Oversee the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise systems (e.g., servers, databases, storage, etc.).

• Manage network devices (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.).

• Ensure availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure and systems.

• Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions.

Security Management:

• Implement and manage network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

• Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.

Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization:

• Manage cloud infrastructure services and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Lead migration efforts for cloud adoption and hybrid environments.

• Optimize and manage cloud-based services and virtual resources to meet organizational requirements.

Team Leadership and Project Management:

• Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews.

• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and new technology implementations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology needs across the organization.

Vendor Management & Procurement:

• Work with third-party vendors for IT procurement, software licenses, and service agreements.

• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and services to meet the company’s evolving IT requirements.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support:

• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and troubleshoot system, network problems, and day to day operation.

• Ensure timely resolution of issues affecting business continuity.

• Implement and oversee automated monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, system processes, and disaster recovery plans.

• Prepare regular reports on system/network performance, usage, and incidents.

Compliance & IT Governance:

• Ensure IT systems comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in internal and external IT audits, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
