Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is seeking a qualified and committed person for the position of Project Coordinator for organizational ongoing Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction related project at Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) for the Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction project,
-
ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines;
-
Manage the DRR projects including project quality,
-
M&E and budget management;Lead the development of annual activity and budget plan for the DRR projects;
-
Facilitate the annual and quarterly project activity plan for DRR projects;
-
Lead DRR team quarterly planning meetings to review progress and results, identify gaps and solutions and share technical ideas for the projects;
-
Support to DRR POs with technical and management inputs relating to project activity plan;
-
Work with DRR POs to set up M&E mechanism and tools for tracking project indicators and results of DRR projects;
-
Supervise project staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective project implementation and team performance;

Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at both district and national levels, including government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant organizations;
-
Utilize in-depth knowledge of Disaster Risk Reduction and adaptation methodologies to inform project strategies and interventions;
-
Manage donor communication and relations, including proposal development, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements;
-
Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports detailing project progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned;Develop business plans and innovation activity plans to enhance the sustainability and impact of project interventions;

Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints,
-
identifying and addressing any financial discrepancies or risks;

Strong understanding of Disaster Risk Reduction and adaptation methodologies, with proven experience in implementing Disaster Risk Reduction related projects;

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively;

Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives;Proficiency in developing and implementing logical frameworks for project monitoring and evaluation;

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in donor communication and report writing;

Ability to develop and implement business plans and innovation activity plans to enhance project impact and sustainability;

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
