When it comes to insurance, consumer needs and expectations have shifted. Not only do consumers want enhanced customer experiences, they also expect them on demand that can be met by companies leveraging technology to innovate and disrupt the insurance industry. Instasure as an Embedded insurance company is all about distributing insurance solutions (traditional or innovative) through third-party businesses. It is embedded within the purchasing journey of an underlying product or service it is related to and could be packaged as an add-on, a bundle, or a transaction-triggered offer. The embedded insurance opportunity delivers the advantage of lower distribution costs through third-party ecosystem integration, relying on partner distribution capacity and customer relationships. This way, the customer is offered relevant and fully customized coverage at the point of sale, putting them in control and improving their overall experience.

Job description

  • The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business/distribution partners to build new business for the company.
  • They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • The Business Development Manager will identify, contact and develop relationships with distribution partners like travel agents, E commerce portals, logistics companies, ride sharing startups, banks and financial institutions, NGOs, Universities, Hospitals and other affinity groups.
  • This position is responsible for the achievement of revenue targets by expanding these channels and maintaining profit margins, presenting products to guests, and maintaining extensive knowledge of all available and possible eco system partners.
  • Manage existing relationships with key accounts.
  • Develop a self-working strategy to achieve the sales targets for the company.
  • Manage the creation of sales presentations, marketing materials, emails, newsletters and trade shows. Attend trade shows, organize and staff these shows.
  • Analyze sales reports for key trends and provide weekly sales updates on activities and opportunities.
  • Designing and implementing strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Preparing sales budget and projections based on channel specific (retail/brand, wholesale, institute /Universities) and SKU wise monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor’s activities and formulating strategies to respond accordingly. Coordinating with internal, external stakeholder and other teams to ensure smooth delivery of product & services.
