- Experience in designing and delivering training and capacity-building initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and case management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and tact.
- Fluency in English speaking & writing
- Should have good knowledge in MS Office package & internet browsing.
- Valid motorcycle driving license will get extra value.
- Experience working with vulnerable and marginalized communities.
- Familiarity with the local legal framework and referral systems for safeguarding and PSEA cases.

Responsibilities & Context
Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples’ centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 337 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh covering over 12 million poor and vulnerable people.The PSEA and Safeguard Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of safeguarding measures, including the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), within the Empowering the most disadvantaged adolescent girls and young women through eco system based Alternative Learning Programme (ALP) for market driven transferable skills project. This role will work closely with the programme’s staff, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to promote a safe learning environment and ensure that risks to children, vulnerable adults, and other beneficiaries are minimized. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.
Job Responsibilities:
PSEA and Safeguarding Framework Development and Implementation
- Develop, implement, and regularly update safeguarding and PSEA policies and procedures in alignment with organizational and donor requirements.
- Ensure that all staff, volunteers, and partners are aware of and adhere to these policies, including mandatory reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct regular risk assessments related to safeguarding and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Capacity Building and Training
- Design and deliver safeguarding and PSEA training for staff, volunteers, and partners, including workshops on child protection, gender-based violence prevention, and human rights.
- Provide ongoing capacity-building support to ensure effective implementation of safeguarding protocols.
Incident Reporting and Case Management
- Establish clear reporting mechanisms for safeguarding and PSEA incidents, ensuring confidential, accessible, and effective systems are in place.
- Lead on case management, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to allegations, coordinating investigations in line with organizational policies.
- Work closely with legal, health, and psychosocial service providers to ensure that survivors receive necessary support.
Stakeholder Engagement and Awareness
- Act as a focal point for safeguarding and PSEA concerns, ensuring clear communication between the programme, beneficiaries, and external stakeholders (e.g., local communities, government bodies, partners).
- Promote a culture of respect, safety, and accountability throughout the programme.
- Ensure community members are aware of safeguarding standards and know how to report concerns.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Regularly monitor and evaluate safeguarding practices to ensure they are effective, making adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare regular reports on PSEA and safeguarding activities, ensuring transparency and accountability to donors, stakeholders, and the community.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safeguarding and PSEA practices are integrated into all programme activities, including recruitment, programme design, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Work with other organizations, networks, and coalitions to share best practices and stay updated on evolving safeguarding and PSEA standards.
