Requirements

- Proficiency in report writing with a demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and well-structured reports for internal and external stakeholders, especially donors.
- Experience in organizing workshops, training sessions, and advocacy events at the national level, particularly focused on gender issues.
- Strong knowledge of Project Cycle Management (PCM) and Results-Based Management (RBM).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and manage teams effectively.
- Proficient in monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including financial and budget monitoring to track project success and adherence to goals.
- Expertise in utilizing community development participatory methodologies, support the project team in engaging local communities in the design and implementation of advocacy programs.
- Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience working directly with donor partners, including donor communication, reporting, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Strong networking skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, civil society organizations, and advocacy groups.
- Experience in organizing and facilitating advocacy meetings at both the national and regional levels, ensuring meaningful dialogue and action on gender issues.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations, and create standard reports.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must have a strong understanding of and familiarity with existing networks working for women’s and children’s rights, particularly in advocacy and policy influencing roles.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Context: Women’s Empowerment & Active Citizenship (ENGAGE) project started from January 2020. This project is being implemented mainly in Shyamnagar and Patharghata sub districts of Satkhira and Barguna districts respectively. The project will work “on the ground” in communities across five countries (Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Haiti, India and Tanzania). Project activities will be a combination of:

support for community-based training of women leaders and related community initiatives that advance gender equality;

capacity building support for partner organizations and their local, national and regional networks; and ·

learning-focused activities (action research, case study documentation, curriculum development, etc.) that build on the community initiatives and share lessons ·

CCDB will also work at community level to support the formation and strengthening of local women’s organizations to address issues of climate change through the development of community-based climate change adaptation plans that address the specific needs of women and girls. Training activities will build the capacity of women’s organizations to undertake local action research that examines the vulnerabilities of women in the context of climate change; support them to engage in advocacy and campaigns; and enhance their ability to interaction with local government institutions and develop opportunities for alternative livelihoods.
Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate the implementation of the project within the approved budget.

Develop Annual Action Plan and budget.

Prepare six monthly and annual report for donor.

Develop training curricula in on gender responsive budget, gender equality and leadership, Asset based community Development, etc.

Facilitate training session on the above-mentioned issues.

Build capacity of the field level staff member on community mobilization.
-
Build facilitation capacity of field level trainers.
-
Assist field level staff members in organizing advocacy event as planned.

Establish and maintain networks and coalitions with likeminded agencies and organizations such as NGOs, Government, etc.

Organize training at national level as planned.

Organize national event on gender issues.
