Job Purpose
BRAC is actively seeking a officer, Capacity Strengthening for Bangladesh America Maitree Activity (BAMA), a substantial project with a budget of USD 48 million. This 5-year program aims to enhance the capacity of local organizations aligned with USAID’s strategic objectives in Bangladesh. Through a careful selection process, chosen local organizations will receive funding to implement programs, with a strong emphasis on strengthening their institutional capabilities.
The officer, Capacity Strengthening plays a key role in the Maitree Project’s organizational capacity strengthening of recipient organizations to compete for grants and implement development interventions. This role demands the ability to work collaboratively with other units as well as independently, managing the end-to-end process of training and capacity development of the sub-award partners; from need analysis to customized content development, design of programs and workshops, delivery, TOT and assessment/analysis of quality and learning shifts of participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure execution excellence in the end-to-end capacity strengthening cycle; from capacity building/training need analysis, content development, design of experiential learning tools, pilot testing / dry run, ensure stakeholder relationship and satisfaction, delivery of training workshops, TOT and assessment of learning shifts of participating Bangladeshi organizations.
- Work very closely with the participating Bangladeshi organizations on pre-program (workshop) and post-program (workshop) activities.
- Design appropriate training/capacity building schedules and learning strategies based on the identified training needs in the project.
- Coordinate with logistics team and ensure all support for training and other interventions
- Maintain relationship with all stakeholders
- Provide assistance and support to partners as and when required
- Perform similar duties as deemed fit for the proper execution of duties and also duties delegated by management.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
