Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.

Experience

  • 2 to 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Retail Store, Trading or Export/Import, Buying House, Direct Selling/Marketing Service Company

Additional Requirements

  • Must have experience in both knit & woven.
  • Fabric Knowledge: Strong understanding of various knit & woven fabrics, their properties, and suitable applications, enabling informed decisions in sourcing and product development.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product development within the garment industry, preferably in a buying house or similar environment.
  • Sourcing Expertise: Proven track record in sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers to secure high-quality fabrics while optimizing costs and lead times.
  • Merchandising Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop effective merchandising strategies that align with market trends and drive sales, enhancing product visibility and customer engagement. Specialized knowledge in both knit and woven garment merchandising, understanding the nuances of each to effectively guide product development and marketing strategies.
  • Product Development Acumen: Experience in collaborating with design teams to develop and launch new collections, managing the product lifecycle from concept to final approval.
  • Production Management: Familiarity with production processes and timelines, including the ability to coordinate effectively with factories to ensure on-time order execution.
  • Sample Follow-Up: Experience in overseeing the sampling process, ensuring timely feedback and approvals to meet production schedules.
  • TNA Planning Knowledge: Proficiency in developing and managing Time and Action (TNA) plans to track project milestones and ensure all stakeholders are aligned throughout the production cycle.
  • Factory Coordination: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to follow up with factories on daily activities, addressing any issues promptly to maintain production schedules.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of the merchandising process are executed to high standards.
  • Trend Awareness: Passion for fashion and a keen eye for emerging trends, utilizing market insights to drive product innovation and sales strategies.

  • Sourcing and Supplier Development: Identify and establish relationships with reputable suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the procurement of high-quality fabrics and materials, aligning with sustainability goals.
  • Product Development Oversight: Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative and market-ready garment collections, guiding the process from initial concept through to final samples.

  • Sample Follow-Up: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring timely delivery and quality of samples for approval, facilitating swift feedback loops between design, production, and sales teams.
  • TNA Planning (Time and Action): Develop and maintain detailed TNA plans to track project timelines and milestones, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the production cycle
  • Daily Factory Follow-Up: Maintain regular communication with factories to monitor daily activities related to order execution, swiftly addressing any issues to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Production Oversight: Manage the production timeline, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and cost targets while coordinating efforts between internal teams and external partners.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders, promoting open communication and collaboration to achieve shared objectives.
  • Production Planning and Coordination: Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Act as the liaison between suppliers and internal teams for seamless execution.
