We are seeking a compatible Assistant Manager (Finishing) who will work for our Knit Garment factory at Rajendrapur, Gazipur and who meets the following Criteria:
Responsibilities & Context
Supervision and Team Management
- Supervise and manage the finishing department team, providing guidance on quality standards, production goals, and workflow efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their skills in finishing techniques and quality control.
- Ensure maximum utilization of all resources.
- Ensure daily target achievement and overall production efficiency.
Quality Control
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that finished garments meet required standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished garments for defects, damages, or deviations from quality standards.
- Mainly monitor CK production, ensuring adherence to buyer handling capability.
Workflow Coordination
- Coordinate with other departments such as cutting, sewing, and packing to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of finishing processes.
- Plan and organize the finishing schedule to meet production targets.
- Communicate with other departments as needed to relay information about finished goods, quality issues, and production schedules.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in the finishing stage to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement changes that improve overall product quality.
- Resource Management
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency in the finishing department.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of finishing materials.
- Be aware of the section’s capacity for different products in different processes (ironing, visual checking, garment alteration, folding, packing).
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of finished garments, quality assessments, and any deviations from standards.
- Generate reports for management on the performance of the finishing department, including any corrective actions taken.
Problem Resolution
- Identify and address issues that may arise during the finishing process, such as machine malfunctions, quality concerns, or delays.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure that finishing processes comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
- Maintain standard housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Continuous Learning
- Stay informed about new technologies, techniques, and trends in finishing processes to continually enhance the department’s capabilities and performance.
On-time Shipment
- Ensure on-time shipment of finished products, meeting all buyer requirements and deadlines.
