Responsibilities & Context

An Airlines Ticketing Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that passengers have a smooth and efficient experience when booking and managing their travel plans. Here are some of the primary responsibilities associated with this role:

Ticket Booking and Issuance:

  • Process ticket reservations, changes, and cancellations for passengers.
  • Issue electronic and paper tickets based on customer requests and preferences.

Customer Service:

  • Provide information on flight schedules, ticket prices, and travel regulations.
  • Assist passengers with special requirements, such as those needing special assistance or with specific seating preferences.

Flight Information Management:

  • Keep up-to-date with flight schedules, delays, and cancellations.
  • Communicate relevant information to passengers and assist them with rebooking if needed.

Payment Processing:

  • Handle payments for ticket purchases, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Process refunds and manage any ticket-related financial transactions.

Problem Resolution:
