    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Proven experience in primary and community health care.
    • Familiarity with national vaccine schedule.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
    • Make a hardship and have positive mentality to take workload.
    • Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bengali, Fluency in Rohingya dialect and English required.
    • Demonstrated experience in identifying barriers to behavior change and developing sound communication plans.
    • Strong facilitation skill on different level (e.g. community, Camp, Upazila and District Level).
    • Experience with database management.
    • Familiarity with best practices in social and behavior change communications;

    Responsibilities & Context

    Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the FIVDB-UNICEF SBC Project in Cox’s Bazar funded by UNICEF. The project Duration is one year from the project awarding. The job is contractual for the project period with a 3-month period of probation. The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at Ukhia, Teknaf and Cox’s Bazar, with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities.

    ROLE PURPOSE:

    Routine Immunization Supervisors (RIS) to provide support and coordination to RI vaccinators and supervise the EPI volunteers. The RIS Providing support and coordination with UNICEF, WHO, relevant government stakeholders (Upazila Health Complex and Camp Administration) and Health Sector in implementing Routine Immunization (RI) activities in Rohingya Refugee camps. The RIS will work for contribution to an improvement in the overall health of the targeted community through the provision of quality vaccination and health education. To work with the community to ensure maximum possible immunization coverage. The RIS will responsible to capacity building method of the EPI volunteers, conducting advocacy meeting, community consultation meeting, and different sessions at Camp Level. This position will also responsible for attending Camp Coordination, EPI Coordination, Health Sector Coordination Meetings and maintain Liaison with Government wings and stakeholders. S/he will maintain coordination with the community engagement officer, finance and admin officer, capacity building officer, M&E officer, Outreach worker and other stakeholders.

    KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Provide support and coordination with UNICEF, WHO, relevant government stakeholders (Upazila Health Complex and Camp Administration) and Health Sector in implementing Routine Immunization (RI) activities in Rohingya Refugee camps.
    • Provide support and coordination to RI vaccinators and volunteers.
    • Supportive supervision to Immunization volunteers in conducting community engagement activities related to RI.
    • Supportive supervision during any supplementary Immunization activities (SIA).
    • Collect, compile and submitting daily/weekly/monthly monitoring report on RI related activities to FIVDB and UNICEF.
    • Linking on information dissemination and giving feedback from the field on progress/needs to the program manager.
    • Maintain interpersonal communication within the team, community leaders and organization as well.
    • Record and share relevant, up to date information in a timely manner.
    • Providing support in distributing materials related to RI activities in the camps.
    • Maintain database management in Horizon for Project as per requirement.
    • Capture and share evidence of good practices in regular basis.
    • Providing support in building capacity (training, orientation, mentoring) of Immunization volunteers in implementing RI related activities in the camps.
    • Participate in the camp level GO/NGO coordination meetings at different levels need base.
    • The post-holder will comply with all relevant FIVDB policies and procedures with respect to child safeguarding, safety and security, code of conduct, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.
    • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Management.
