Responsibilities & Context

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the nursing college.

• Oversee the overall administration and management of the college, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and standards.

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing curricula and academic programs in alignment with standards.

• Ensure that programs meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry and regulatory requirements.

• Recruit, mentor and evaluate faculty members to promote professional development and effective teaching practices.

• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for faculty and staff.

• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

• Provide guidance and support to students in academic and professional development, including advising on career paths.

• Develop and manage the college budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

• Establish partnerships with healthcare institutions, community organizations and other stakeholders to enhance clinical training and job placement for students.

• Represent the college at professional organizations, conferences and community events.

• Promote and support faculty and student research initiatives in nursing and healthcare.

• Encourage innovative teaching methodologies and the integration of technology in nursing education.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the educational environment and ensure the safety and well-being of students and faculty.

• Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, using data-driven decision-making to implement improvements.

• Gather feedback from students, faculty and stakeholders to inform strategic planning.
