Responsibilities & Context
Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of ‘‘Material Developer and Designer (Illustrator)’’ from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education for Rohingya Refugee and Host Community Children in Bangladesh’’ (ERRHCCB) Project funded by UNESCO.
The working location will be in Cox’s Bazar(Ukhiya).
The Material Developer and Designer (Illustrator) will support the project by providing technical insights, content development, work on illustrator, Photoshop & 3D software like CLO or Stitcher to develop the 3D designs, sketches, prints & accessories Under the overall guidance & supervision of the Director – Education Programme of CODEC, and in coordination with UNESCO’s Education Team and Dhaka University, the incumbent will support the implementation of the ECW MYRP Phase II, and particularly the Language Training Component, with the following functions:
Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare rough drafts according to requirements·
-
work on illustrator, Photoshop & 3D software like CLO or Stitcher to develop the 3D designs, sketches, prints & accessories Under the overall guidance & supervision of the project coordinator.

Combine hand-drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations·
-
Refine designs with illustration software·
-
Use various colors, graphics and effects to better visualize each concept.Format images using computer-aided design (CAD) software·

Apply isometric techniques to add perspective to complex shapes·

Participate in design briefs with donor, editors and/or marketers to identify their needs·
-
Define time and budget limitations andEnsure that printed illustrations meet quality and color standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
-
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Education areas.Experience working in Cox’s Bazar with local NGOs, Research Firms, International Organizations, or UN agencies is an asset.
Skills and Competencies:
-
Proven work experience as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer or similar role·
-
Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations·
-
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software·
-
Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software, like Photoshop, Indesign and Adobe Illustrator·
-
Drawing skills with an attention to detail (both by hand and digital pen)· Strong aesthetic and conceptual skill.
Languages:
-
Fluency in English Language.
-
Knowledge of Bangla, Chittagoniong and/or Rohingya language is an asset.
PSEA & Safeguarding:

Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.

Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
