Responsibilities & Context
Project Name Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development for Accessing Safe-water (WEEDAS)
Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) is a non-government Humanitarian Organization working for advancement of poor women, men, children, youths, excluded people, person with disability and minority groups since 2000. It is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, casts, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.
NSS is going to implement a sub-project titled “Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development for Accessing Safe-water” (in short WEEDAS) under the key project “Water Woman” which is funded by Oxfam in Bangladesh. The project will be implemented at Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali district as well as at Patharghata Upazila of Barguna district. NSS is searching for two competent WASH Facilitator (WF) who have excellent experience on safe drinking water management, women empowerment and entrepreneurship development or similar type of project. WFs are responsible for daily oversight of the WASH related activities and capacity building of rural women and to provide support to the Technical Officer to accomplish the results of the project. He/she will maintain communication with LGIs, educational institutions and community people Officials of the project aligned departments at Upazila as well as Oxfam in Bangladesh (if needed).
Major Job Responsibilities

Prepare monthly work plan based on the project implementation plan or as per instruction of the PM.

Provide support to conduct survey, study and data collection.

Conduct consultation meeting for group formation.
-
Conduct and facilitate courtyard meeting with the project beneficiaries.
-
Conduct school sessions as per project implementation guideline (PIG) and detailed implementation plan (DIP).
-
Provide support to select ROs and WDPs points at community level.
-
Regular household visit to monitor the progress at household level.
-
Visit women’s water business and their daily records of income and expenditures.
-
Provide support to organize meeting, training and workshop and for selecting participants and venue.
-
Organize rural women to celebrate different days at community level as per plan of the project.

Regularly visit and monitor the ROs and WDPs and ensure smooth functions and operations.

Maintain communication and liaison with LGIs, GOs, NGOs and Civil Society Actors in the working area.

Capture good practices, information for case story, life changing stories, lesson learnt and success stories.

Prepare monthly progress report and documentation on different activities and accumulate all data for ensuring quality and authenticity.

Practice, promote and endorse PSEA policy among the project beneficiaries, contractors and suppliers. Ensure CFRM in every course of action at community level.

Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.

Shall have to stay in the working area and he/she must spend 100% time in field activities except attending monthly staff meeting or capacity building training.
Compensation & Other Benefits
Salary: TK. 21,333 per month with other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
Job Location: Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali district and Patharghata Upazila of Barguna district.
