Responsibilities & Context

Ventura Leatherware Mfy (BD) Ltd, a 100% Export Oriented Enterprise in Uttara EPZ, is searching for most suitable candidates for the position of Asst./Manager – Purchase.

Role expectations for IT Officer (Network & Support) position includes the followings:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the purchasing budget, ensuring expenditures are within limits and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate stock without over-purchasing.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with suppliers.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze purchasing data and supplier performance to inform decision-making and improve processes.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (like finance, production, and logistics) to align purchasing activities with overall organizational needs.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve purchasing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on purchasing activities, expenditures, and supplier performance for senior management.
