Requirements

Education

An advance University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent ) in one of the following fields is required: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Management or in a relevant discipline from any public or renowned private university

Experience

  • A minimum 5 years of professional experience in fundraising, networking and liaison.

  • Age 35 to 50 years are preferred, but the age may be relaxed for highly experienced candidates.

  • A track record of applicant up to five years successful experience in fundraising, administration, networking and legal procedures in NGO or Charity organization.

  • Advance diploma or certification course in fundraising and also international fundraising experience can be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in computer operation (MS Office & relevant software) and its applications is required.

  • Proven experience in writing project concept note and project proposal.

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written in Bangla and English.

Responsibilities & Context

Christian Service Society (CSS) is a national NGO working across the country, implementing a number of projects and programs in the field of health, education, enterprise, and economic development. We are currently looking for an experienced ” Director-International ” who will play a vital role in overseeing and strengthening organizational fundraising efforts by building and maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, coordinating activities with governmental and non-governmental organizations, networking, and making alliances with other NGOs. This position involves tasks ranging from liaising with local and international entities to providing essential administrative support to Dhaka office management.

Job Responsibilities:

Fundraising:

  • Lead proposal preparation, conduct donor research, and communicate with national and international NGOs and individuals for fundraising.

  • Continuously search for funding opportunities and take necessary initiatives according to organizational guidelines.

  • Lead in developing a comprehensive information cell and provide regular updates for fundraising initiatives.

  • Guide Manager-Information in preparing necessary documents to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and fund calls.

  • Supervise the Manager-Information in new project development initiatives and work closely with consultants.

  • Oversee field information collection through regular field visits (by the Liaison Coordinator) to assist concept note/project development.

Networking and Alliance:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships while regularly liaising and networking with organizations, individuals, and network partners, both local and foreign.

  • Form possible alliances with like-minded organizations and build working relationships with them.

  • Regularly communicate and build rapport with Banks and Multinational Corporations, corporate sectors to secure CSR funding opportunities

  • Attend Government and Non-Governmental Organization (GO, NGO) coordination meetings and communicate with GOs, NGOs, and other organizations as needed.

  • Participate in or assist in representing the organization in different forums.

  • Undertake necessary activities to enhance the organization’s exposure to partners, donors, government, and local and international NGOs.

Liaison:

  • Oversee the establishment of function linkages and ensure the maintenance of good relationships with the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB), Microcredit Regulatory Authority, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), NSDA, Ministry of Health, BNMCA and all relevant Gos and NGOs.

  • Ensure compliance with all Central Government official requirements, oversee the submission of necessary organizational documents, and actively participate in various meetings, rallies, workshops, etc., for administrative purposes.

  • Supervise the execution of highly confidential secretarial tasks, including assignments/jobs related to the NGO Bureau and Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).

  • Ensure collection and preservation of field data and information for future reference.

Administration:

  • Provide necessary administrative support to the Dhaka office.

  • Supervise and follow up the activities of the team members.

Compensation & Other Benefits

After being permanent upon successful completion of the probation period (Six months), other benefits will be provided as per the organizational policy, i.e., provident fund, gratuity, festival bonus, yearly increment, staff insurance (Kormi Bima), medical allowance (Kormi Sohayota Tohobil), etc.
