Responsibilities & Context
This position is responsible to contribute to Planning, Designing, Supervision, Implementation and Management and reporting to the Sector Lead, Shelter about Shelter & Site Improvement activities. Also responsible for management, implementation and supervision of Shelter and Site Improvement activities of BRAC Shelter Project under HCMP including supportive supervision of project staffs in his/her assigned working areas expending times/days to 60% in fields and 40% in official works. He will be reportable to the Sector Lead, Shelter for execution of duties.
Strategic Planning and Overall Management:

Contribute and assist the Sector Lead-Shelter for plan, design, management, supervision and implementation of Shelter and Site Improvement activities.

Provide technical guidance & assistance and appropriate technical consideration on effect management and implementation of project interventions to colleagues by providing training, orientation and on the job training in line with UNHCR, ISCG and Organization standard to address the specific needs of women, child, person with disability and Extreme Vulnerable Group (EVI).
Oversee implementation and monitoring of sectoral activities:

Identify and implement the most appropriate project intervention based on need assessment through field visit and observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), community consultation and in close collaboration of community, Site Management Sector (SMS), CiC Officials, Mahji and other relevant stakeholders.

Assist to develop of detailed plan, design, management, supervision and implementation of Shelter and Site Improvement activities including bill of quantities (BoQ), material list with cost estimates for all shelter, site improvement including NFI and small scale infrastructure related works.
Quality and Accountability:
-
Frequently visit and supervise the whole implementation process of shelter and site improvement intervention and take necessary adjustment to ensure the quantitative and qualitative work including randomly visit and follow-up.

Keep and maintain regular tracking and updates on shelter and site improvement interventions/activities and ensure the timely completion and report to all concern with close collaboration of line manager.
Stakeholders’ coordination, networking, advocacy:

Regularly attend the Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG), Technical Working Group (TWiG) and shear with colleagues the finding for future improvement.

Assist to promote the advocacy as a tool that can be used as a response to humanitarian needs in emergencies and practices in assigned working areas for establish the right of the community.
Fund Raising, Proposal Development and Reporting:

Prepare biweekly reports/4W, monthly quantitative and narrative report, quarterly report and project closing report and submit to all concern in line with Sector Lead-Shelter.

Assist to collect different document/journals related to Shelter and NFI for team and synthesize as well as develop some relevant Visual Aid/materials/presentation.

Assist to write the project proposal and concept not to assign authorize persons of Organization.
Safeguarding:

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
