Responsibilities & Context

• The Ghat Officer – Logistics will be In Charge of a certain Ghat. He will be responsible for operating the receiving and delivery of the cement bags smoothly.
• Maintaining the number of cement bags received at the Ghat/ warehouse, the number of bags delivered and the number of bags in stock at the end of the day’s operations, supervising the ghat/warehouse operations regularly, generate reports and keep record of the data.
• After giving attendance at the Ghat/Warehouse in the morning, briefing his line manager, explaining the ghat status in details, presenting verbal and digital reports to the line in-charge and explaining the preparatory planning of the day’s deliveries.
• Talk to the sales person to bring the delivery at the early morning, the sales and logistics team will work together to ensure smooth delivery so that sufficient quantities are delivered at the Ghat/ warehouse. If any issues arise, inform the line in charge immediately and if there is any innovative idea for delivery, discuss it with the line manager and implement it as soon as possible. Need to have enough adequate ability to handle ghat cement unloading labor and truck drivers.
• Must have good knowledge of Truck and its accessories. (Human force, Truck maintenance equipment’s, Truck rotation & Fuel related knowledge) According to the delivery forecasting given by sales, keeping enough stock at the ghat/warehouse and if there is a shortage in stock, arrange the loading by communicating with the vessel supplier and factory loading related people.
• Having the ability to communicate and manage everything related to stock availability at Ghat/Warehouse.
• Proficient in creating delivery challans, updating & uploading it time to time in ERP, reporting etc.
• Must have good computer skills (specially emailing and MS office).
• Establishing a healthy relationship between this chain of market, warehouse/ghat, factory and head office so that any problem raise, officers can get help from any place and everyone is informed about each other’s affairs through a beautiful bridge.
• Make reports & presentations when needed and present it to the higher authority.
