Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities: Knowledge Product and Advocacy

Activities :Work closely with Gender justice and women empowerment cluster Team and Director, Advocacy and Communication to develop advocacy products and knowledge products as per the requirement of FON Project.Work closely with the Director, Advocacy to design and prepare advocacy materials and agenda in need basis.Engage in drafting research reports, case stories, and training material content for the advocacy purpose of FON Project.Engage in continuous learning and maintain a database of relevant national, regional and international laws, policies and conventions that directly impact the Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based violence and Gender-Based Violence at large.Assist to arrange and attend workshop, meeting, training, campaign of Both coalition name Rape Law Reform Coalition (RLRC) and Cyber Support for Women and Children (CSWC).From time to time, propose new research topics, knowledge-generation ideas and innovative actions that can be undertaken by the coalitions. Programme Implementation:Arrange stakeholder meetings ensuring relevant policymakers to implement 10 demands of RLRC and objective of CSWC.·       Follow up on the recommendation status of Policy Advocacy and legal reformation regularly related to both coalitions.·       Assess post-knowledge of any capacity-building training on Legal Issues and develop a success story, identifying the challenges and plane to overcome them. Reporting and Documentation:Provide support to the legal specialist to conduct any report under the donor requirement or documentation purpose.Develop a case study with appropriate evidence.Develop event reports in support of legal specialist.Develop statement or letter, related to TFGBV and GBV, upon any contemporary issue that requires Government attention. Partner Management & Communication:·       Establish and preserve solid connections with relevant stakeholders, such as governmental representatives, non-governmental organizations, local authorities, and other partners, to change the legislation following the results of the legal gap analysis.·       Maintain communication with the legal team and unit offices of BLAST regarding cases and other collaborations.·       Participates in seminars/workshops/conferences related to the legal aspect, organized by relevant stakeholders.·       Maintain communication with member organizations of both coalition and ensure their participation in decision making process. Resource Mobilization:Assist Legal Specialist with the legal data, insight, and analysis to explore the fund and grant opportunities and create proposals.Other Tasks: ·       Performing any other duties as and when required by the BLAST management and in line with BLAST’s mission and vision.
