Requirements

Education

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management
  • Certification in Compliance or Audit Management will be added an advantage. 

Experience

  • At least 8 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 35 years
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a compliance role within the RMG sector, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.  
  • Strong knowledge of Bangladeshi labor laws, safety and environmental regulations, and industry compliance standards. 
  • Detail-oriented, ethical, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, Higg Verification, ACCORD/ALLIANCE/RSC, NIRAPON, SLCP, SEDEX, BSCI, WRAP,HIGG, CTPAT, EPZ law, BLL-2006, BNBC-2020, NFPA standards, Technical audit and European & USA buyers’ compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities & Context

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments across factory premises. Identify potential hazards and enforce preventive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Promote sustainability and ethical sourcing within factory operations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with local laws, international standards, and buyer code of conduct.
  • Monitor and follow-up factory environmental related activities, targets & strategies along with keeping alignment with customer and group targets.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits, representing the company with clients, certification bodies, and government agencies. 
  • Train employees on compliance matters, including labor laws, environmental practices, workplace safety, and ethical behavior.
  • Ensure that all policies are up-to-date with local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety briefings and training sessions regularly.Record, investigate, and analyze incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure all incidents are properly documented, and follow-up actions are taken.Monitor and halt any unsafe acts, processes, or equipment usage that may pose a danger or health risk to employees.
  • Oversee the safe installation, maintenance, and disposal of hazardous substances.Prepare reports on occurrences, near-miss incidents, and safety statistics for the Department Head.
  • Ensure the factory is ready for compliance audits like BSCI, SEDEX, GSV, and Alliance, and maintain all records as per audit requirements.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records related to compliance, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
  • Keep up to date with changes in compliance regulations and ensure that the factory is prepared to meet all evolving standards. 
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Department Head.
