Responsibilities & Context
Operate the Tower Crane in a safe and appropriate manner.
Lift & move building materials from ground storage areas and trucks to high rise building construction.
Control crane movement in response to the signals or orders by the supervisor.
Perform pre-operational tests, inspection of load line and crane parts and scheduled maintenance for lubrication of mechanical systems.
Inspect and adjust Tower Crane mechanisms and lifting accessories in order to prevent malfunctions and damage.
Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities in order to prevent overload.
Maintaining “log-book” regularly.
Keeping the working place area clean and tidy.
Checking daily “check list” regularly.
Informing supervisor regarding time schedule of servicing of the Tower Crane.
Timely informing supervisor regarding any problem regarding the Tower Crane.
Ensure maintenance of Tower Crane is timely completed.
Ensure daily cleaning of Tower Crane after completing daily work activities.
Ensure organization’s safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
Perform any other duties assigned by the concerned supervisor.
