Additional Requirements
Final-year students with a strong academic record and relevant internship experience will also be considered, especially if they demonstrate strong analytical and research skills.
1-2 years of post-baccalaureate full-time professional experience will be preferred.
Have a good understanding of, or strong interest in, legal concepts, case laws, statutes, principles, and terminologies.
Have excellent research skills to gather and extract relevant legal information from various online sources.
Able to analyze complex legal issues, identify relevant precedents, and apply legal principles to real-life scenarios.
Ability to think logically, spot legal implications, and propose well-reasoned arguments.
Have strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet), and Adobe PDF Software.
Tech-savvy and open to adopting new technological initiatives for case and task management.
Ability to work under minimum remote supervision.
Own a laptop and smartphone with a fast and stable internet connection.
Responsibilities & Context
Legal Research and Analysis: Proficient in conducting in-depth research to support cases, interpreting complex immigration statutes, and identifying legal precedents that strengthen petitions. Additionally, conducting research on various regulations and procedures related to employment-based immigration and monitoring changes in immigration laws and policies that may affect clients and cases.
Evaluation: Analyzing the profiles of prospective clients and determining their eligibility for EB-1A.Case Management: Assist with the preparation and filing of employment-based immigration petitions and applications, organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure that all required documents are collected and filed in a timely manner.
Drafting and Documentation: Skilled in creating clear, persuasive petitions that meet EB-1A standards, with strong written English skills for precise and impactful documentation.
Proficient English Accent and Communication: Excellent verbal communication with a clear, professional English accent to effectively engage clients, communicate complex information, and build trust.
Time Management and Organization: Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple cases.
Team Collaboration: Support attorneys, paralegals, and peers in preparing letters, affidavits, and other legal documents.
Technical Proficiency: Experienced with AI-based tools, case management software, and Google Suite to streamline workflow and documentation.
Interpersonal and Client Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, verbally or through email, to clarify case requirements, obtain necessary information, and convey complex legal criteria in understandable terms.
Meeting and Note Taking: Participate in client meetings and take notes to assist in case management.
