Additional Requirements

Age 45 to 55 years

Experience: At least 20 years’ experience in NGOs in the field of Micro Finance and projects on Climate Change, WASH and DRR. Besides, strong report writing in English and Bangla and networking skills are a prerequisite. The candidate shall be able to work independently having following experience background:
1.More than ten years’ experience at senior positions in Micro Finance operations and projects management.
2.Strong financial management and analytical skills.
3. Familiarity with MRA guidelines and NGOAB regulations in BD.
Core competency :1) Stakeholder management and negotiation skills, 2) strong understanding and commitment to gender and social justice, 3) Cultural, secular sensitivity and ability to work with diverse groups. 3) project supervision and on-time follow-up of project delivery, budget projections, donor liaison are prerequisites. 4) Computer applications, specifically the ability to operate MS word, Xl, PowerPoint etc. is a must.

Responsibilities & Context

DSK is a national organization registered with Social Welfare Department (Dha-02273), NGO Affair’s Bureau (No 577 last renewed in 2021) and licensed by MRA. Since 1989, the organization has been working in Bangladesh in the field of poverty alleviation through various development initiatives having support from different donors and international organizations and PKSF. DSK upholds the aspirations of the great Liberation War, embracing secular, inclusive, humane, democratic collective values and practices. DSK seeks to recruit a self-driven, proactive and dynamic experienced candidate for the following senior position:

Skills required:
Assist the ED in formulating and implementing organizational policies, strategic plan and annual budgets.
Microfinance Operations:
Monitor financial performance metrics like portfolio quality (PAR, OTR, DR), efficiency and productivity, profitability and sustainability (OSS, ROTA, RoE), liability management cost of fund, portfolio yield), financial solvency (debt equity ratio, capital adequacy). Supervise the Microfinance portfolio to ensure sustainability, efficiency and outreach.
Team Management and Capacity building:
Lend, Mentor, and manage senior management staff and projects teams. Oversee capacity-building initiatives for staff through training section to improve program delivery and operational efficiency. Promote an inclusive, diverse and equitable work culture in line with DSK values and practices.
Risk and compliance management:
Identify and mitigate organizational risks including operational financial and reputational risks. Ensure compliance with GO regulations, donor requirements and organizational policies. Maintain a high standard of gender sensitivity, accountability and transparency.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Salary and benefits: BDT 200,000/ month LS, inclusive of the mobile bill and daily food allowance. Three festival bonuses will be paid as per DSK policy. Income tax will be deducted at the source as per GoB procedure. This is a contractual position for the next two years, performance-based renewal will remain as a possibility. Intended candidates having experience in such positions and salary level are encouraged to apply. In case of experienced person’s salary could be further negotiated.
