Responsibilities & Context

Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples’ centered organization, ESDO env isioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 408 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh covering over 12 million poor and vulnerable people.

The Project Coordinator for the ESDO Health Program in Mymensingh Division will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health-related study interventions aimed at improving community well-being. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing human and financial resources effectively, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within the defined timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead the implementation of the Health Project in alignment with ESDO’s mission and objectives.
• Develop detailed work plans and ensure timely delivery of project activities.
• Sanitization to the community in collaboration with Govt. and Non- Govt. Health Services provider.
• Organize district, Upazila and community level meeting.
• Data collection for MIS section.
• Sample collection and transfer to Lab, assist Lab technician and provide report to ESDO.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with government bodies, community leaders, partner organizations, and donors.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs for community stakeholders.

Team Leadership

• Supervise project staff and provide guidance, mentoring, and support.
• Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address challenges.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation of project activities.
• Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to donors and stakeholders.
• Use data to evaluate project impact and recommend improvements.

Financial and Resource Management

• Manage the project budget efficiently and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Oversee procurement and logistics related to the project.

Advocacy and Communication

• Promote health and social development awareness through campaigns and community outreach.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and share best practices.
