Job Context:
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented lab assistant. The lab assistant will be responsible for supporting faculty and students in conducting lab experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring the safety and organization of the laboratory environment. This role is crucial in helping students gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in electrical engineering.
Job Description / Responsibility:
- Assist in Laboratory Sessions: Support faculty and students during lab sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and providing guidance on experiments.
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Regularly check, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in experiments.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures within the lab, ensuring a safe environment for students and staff.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage lab supplies, equipment, and materials, ordering replacements as necessary to ensure a well-stocked lab.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of lab usage, experiment outcomes, and equipment maintenance for accurate documentation.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for students’ projects and experiments, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
- Upkeep and Cleanliness: Ensure the lab is organized and clean at all times, arranging equipment and materials for smooth operation.
