Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales and marketing within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue in a competitive market.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is highly preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address client concerns and propose viable solutions.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and tailor marketing strategies or sales pitches accordingly.
  • Analytical skills for market analysis and strategy development.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities by understanding market demands and the competitive landscape. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their logistics and freight needs are understood and met. Act as the focal point of communication for existing and prospective clients.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company’s objectives to drive business growth. Create customized sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential customers, and areas for growth. Analyze competitors’ activities to understand their strengths and weaknesses and the company’s competitive advantage.
  • Lead Generation: Utilize various channels, such as cold calling, networking, and digital marketing, to generate new leads and business opportunities. Follow up on leads promptly to convert them into customers.
  • Sales Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable deals. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the logistics solutions offered by Cargobox to effectively close sales.
  • Brand Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services and build brand awareness.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence. Provide regular updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and market feedback.
  • Customer satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing ongoing support and resolving any issues or concerns promptly. Act as a liaison between the client and internal operations teams.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the logistics and operations teams to ensure successful execution of client requirements and seamless delivery of services.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the company’s services. Contribute to the development of marketing materials and digital content to support sales efforts.
