Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities
1. Trading Operations:
- Execute buy and sell orders for securities on behalf of clients or the brokerage firm.
- Monitor stock market activities and trends to identify trading opportunities.
- Ensure all trades comply with DSE regulations and the firm’s policies.
2. Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
- Stay updated on economic trends, corporate developments, and market news impacting stock performance.
3. Client Interaction:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their investment goals and risk appetite.
- Provide clients with real-time updates on their investments and market conditions.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Adhere to all DSE trading regulations and ensure accurate record-keeping of transactions.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly trading reports to the brokerage firm and relevant authorities.
5. Risk Management:
- Monitor and manage trading risks, including tracking margin requirements and limits.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with trades or market fluctuations.
6. Technology Use:
- Operate trading platforms and software provided by the DSE or the brokerage firm.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the trading systems.
7. Client Training/Information Sharing:
- If needed train up the clients about trading of stock, strategies, market trends, and DSE processes.
- Provide guidance on portfolio diversification and long-term investment strategies.
8. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the research and compliance teams to align trading activities with market insights and regulatory standards.
- Share market insights with team members to support collective decision-making.
