Additional Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of NGO, multilateral, CSO, CSA operations, and working with donor partners, with proven experience managing operational components of large, complex, donor-funded projects, especially GAC and DFAT-funded projects.
  • Ability to handle sensitive conversations with team members with confidence and courage, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in coordination, negotiation, writing, and editing, with a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and advanced computer literacy (including Google Suite, MS Office, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Highly adaptive, innovative, and able to communicate clearly under pressure; fluent in both English and Bangla, with strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in strategic communication, marketing, public relations, advertising, promotion, research, or other communication methods.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join us as the Manager, Communications, Pooled Fund. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Pooled Fund to develop and implement comprehensive project communication and outreach strategies, branding, and marking plans. You will be responsible for creating and overseeing communication products, including reports, biweekly updates, success stories, and more. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective dissemination of information and promoting the overall visibility and impact of the Pooled Fund projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a multichannel and multi-target communications strategy, encompassing media and social media coverage, co-branding approaches, events, program sponsorships, testimonials, success stories, and opportunities and guidelines for information platforms.
  • Develop high-quality communications, outreach, and learning materials in collaboration with the Senior Director, Head of Pooled Fund, MEAL, technical, grants, central communication team, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Design itineraries and scene-setters for high-level visits by GOB, GAC, DFAT, other donors, ISCG, and BRAC SMT to project sites in coordination with relevant PFL, HCMP, and other BRAC teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Branding Strategy and Marking Plan, along with the Strategic Communications Plan, ensuring alignment with BRAC and donor guidelines across traditional and digital communication channels.
  • Coordinate with sub-recipients to provide orientation sessions on branding and visibility guidelines and conduct in-house training for project and BRAC staff on these standards.
  • Lead the creation of content for print and digital communication materials, including videos, toolkits, educational guides, learning aids, podcasts, webinars, interactive micro-learning sessions, and infographics, ensuring donor alignment and quality control.
  • Manage website content and digital communication channels, including social media platforms, ensuring regular updates and engagement.
  • Engage with media groups, including local outlets, to secure coverage of project activities and successes, adhering to donor guidelines and in coordination with BRAC communications.
  • Promote effective use and continuous improvement of communication tools and processes while maintaining an efficient system for storing and managing programme files, reports, presentations, and outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) team to ensure targeted outreach to new and low-capacity partners in CXB, fostering inclusivity and alignment with project goals.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
