Responsibilities & Context

• Winrock International is recruiting applicants for the position of Monitoring Officer for USAID’s Esho Shikhi Activity in Bangladesh. The objective of the activity is to increase learning opportunities, improve the quality of education, build the capacity of communities to support education and respond to disasters, and ultimately improve learning outcomes of marginalized Bangladeshi children in crisis-affected marginalized communities.

• LOCATION: District based in Esho Shikhi implementation Areas, Bangladesh (01 Gaibandha and 01 in Kurigram/Sherpur/Kishoreganj/Sunamganj/Sylhet/ Bhola)
• DEPARTMENT: Human Rights, Education, and Empowerment
• REPORTS TO: Director-MERLA, Esho Shikhi Activity and District Coordinator, Esho Shikhi Activity Directly work with MERLA team of Esho Shikhi activity
• DATE OF STARTING: From 01 January 2025 (Tentative) and for next 09 months.
• POSITION SUMMARY: The Monitoring Officer will report to the Director-MERLA/District Coordinator, and s/he will be involved with any task related to Esho Shikhi project’s district and upazila level monitoring, evaluation, documentation, research, GIS and MIS related activities The Monitoring Officer’s primary concern is with keeping the activity’s information updated in the system, organized, secured and quality assurance of the implementation.
