Responsibilities & Context
This position will be responsible for developing context-sensitive strategies to implement the relevant project component of GBV prevention programmes. In addition, provide technical expertise on program development in all relevant projects, including GBV prevention, risk mitigation, empowerment of women, capacity building and coordination related activities.
- Prepare Budget and track the budget of the program activities
- Initiate Procurement and Non-Procurement PR as per program needs on the basis of Budget allocation
- Facilitate training to the SASA! Cohort team, MRM team and other Protection and non-Protection actors on GBV, SASA! Together & Male Role Model Approach
- Attend the interview in the recruitment process of colleagues
- Prepare Activity info data and share to focal and worked as an alternative focal of preparing and submitting activity info
- Prepared and submit FGD report, End line Survey report, Mid-year report and Year end report of UNHCR
- Contribute in setting the target of the project and also to prepare and submit the narrative part in project workplan
- Supervise and monitor the activities of Project Officers and Senior Project Officers of SASA! Together & Male Role Model program
- Represent program activities to external stakeholders, donor and other delegates
- Attend monthly partner meeting, SASA! Cohort Meeting, Team meeting and GBV Prevention Working Group meeting and represent the activities of BRAC
- Regular field visit and discuss with Male Role Model & SASA! Activists about improving the program activities
- Submit all quantitative and qualitative report to UNHCR of SASA! Together & Male Role Model Program
- Provide day to day technical guidance to the GBV prevention team in specialized interventions to ensure standards and procedures are followed
- Review and provide feedback (verbal and written) on adaptations of SASA Methodologies including Power Poster illustration and module contextualization
- Implement and quality ensure of Male Role Model Program & SASA! Together programming in camps
- Develop module and contextualize
- Develop a training curriculum for each target audience/training method that addresses issues of women’s rights, violence against women, unequal power dynamics, challenging patriarchal structures and social norms that are harmful to women, and promoting the economic empowerment of women
- Coordinate advocacy campaigns to sensitive men & boys on the harmful effects of violence against women and other practices that discriminate against women
- Coordinate with project manager and sector lead to provide technical support to ensure a high standard of implementation of strategy and activities of GBV prevention and risk mitigation
- Support to develop Program/ sector plan, budget plan, activity plan and operational procedure, guidelines
- Implement global standard of GBV prevention and risk mitigation suggested by UNHCR in Rohingya camp considering local context
- Prepare periodic reports, weekly reports, monthly reports (narrative and quantitative) for donors, government and organization
- Provide technical support on program quality and accountability standards and measures
- Work with donors to create ongoing partnerships
- Ensure supervisory role in field level to coordinate all the tasks for efficient outcomes
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program goals on safeguarding implementation
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Worked as a Safeguarding Focal and facilitate training to colleagues and share report to Safeguarding Focal
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
