  • Possess the ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive collaboration and relationship.

Responsibilities & Context

Project Manager provides overall field level project activities implementation in line with the PRSR Project proposal and strategic programming priorities as defined by the Bangladesh Crisis Response Program. S/he will work closely with all PRSR Project staff e.g. GBV officer, MEAL officer, Response Officer, Prevention Officer, Case Management Assistant and Psychologist to provide relevant management and technical expertise to ensure quality project management.

Project Implementation & Management:

  • Prepare DIP following the project proposal
  • Design training and Provide opportunities for capacity building to all the team on general interventions, among other relevant issues.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with officers and other project staff to ensure the quality and effectiveness of all the project interventions at the camp and host community.
  • Periodical review the case file audit by the Case Management (CM) Assistants to ensure that they are up to date and check quality and consistency of work.
  • Ensure that the CM Assistants do follow up on cases and ensures all cases are managed within acceptable timelines.
  • Work in close collaboration with the community systems to strengthen the relationship with the community in line with the referral system.
  • Ensure internal and external referral mechanisms (with other sectors) are in place and cases are appropriately managed and followed up when referred.
  • Ensure safeguarding compliance (this includes visitors and media protocols, partnering with communities and other agencies or CBOs and children participation) with World Vision’s policies, PSEA standards and guidelines.
  • Take lead in camp level implementation of program interventions, manage and support the Program Implementation Team, including Coaching with clear standards of accountability
  • Ensure field level coordination with other sectors such as education GBV, site management and Camp coordination.
  • Collaborate with teams to generate activity concept notes and review financial reports to maintain accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets even with manually.
  • Work closely with other departments/team at BRCR such as SCM, Finance, Administration, Government liaison for smooth and quality of implementation.
  • Communicate closely with WV German team as the Focal Point of the project at WVB side.
  • Consult to WV Japan team for necessary amendment in project plan including activities and budget.

Quality GBV Program implementation and sustainability:

  • Generate and maintain the case management and implementation plans
  • Ensure all project activities and installations refer to technical guidelines and checklist, government standards and are aligned with internal and external Strategic Objectives
  • Ensure community level participation for men, women, boys and girls taking into account local needs
  • Follow up with Camp level accountability staff to respond to feedback from areas of implementation to strengthen case management implementation
  • Coordinate and support establishment of GBV data base to contribute to the indicator reporting
  • Develop case management activities that mainstream child safeguarding while working with other sectors.
  • Facilitate donor’s field visit to ensure proper communication and relationships between World Vision and communities.
  • Participate and review projects evaluations in close coordination with the internal and/or external evaluator.

Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:

  • Ensure collaborative planning through the camp-level sector coordination meetings while working closely with GBV focal points.
  • Ensure World Vision is appropriately represented during CiC meetings, Protection/GBV focal point meetings, case conferencing, and DSS camp-level meetings.
  • Represent World Vision during field-level donors and Government visits.
  • Link case workers with service providers and support effective collaboration
  • Ensure constant and transparent communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including community members, community leaders and families
  • Collect project-related information through the network and meetings with relevant stakeholders, including GBVSS and other NGOs and CiC as required by the donor
  • Represent WV in the GBV SS and, GBV CM TT, GBV IMS TT as a focal person.
  • Contribute GBV team on capacity building on Case Management, GBVIMS, PSS etc.

Documentation, Project monitoring and evaluation:

  • Compile quantitative and qualitative reports while updating Case management database.
  • Facilitated allocated projects’ information and documentation processes and ensured effective communication of the project results.
  • Ensure WV participation in assessments in close coordination with the projects’ teams to feed into design team during the drafting of the new proposals, making sure it matches with the program objectives and donor’s requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to generate proposals and reports
  • Work closely with MEAL Officer to design and develop M&E plan including surveys and evaluations.
  • Ensure that files, registers and computer databases are used appropriately and correctly and ensure case workers adhere to proper documentation and data protection protocols
