Responsibilities & Context

CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh. From the beginning of its development intervention, CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisherfolk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for our “CODEC-Quality Education for Girls & Boys in Vulnerable coastal areas of Bangladesh (SHOWPNER THIKANA) Project” located at two Upazilas of Bagerhat District- Mongla Upazila and Saronkhola Upazila and one Upazila Patuakhali district-Rangabali Upazila

The goal of this project is “Empowering the school dropout students and communities of coastal areas through collective actions for a better future.”

Responsibilities:

• Ensure project’s overall goal is achieved within targeted period as per donor’s and organizations’ requirements.
• Ensure Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and execute the program implementation as per direction of project management.
• Responsible to supervise the bridge school teachers and animators following operational guidelines for bridge school activities.
• Provide input in developing operational guidelines for Teachers and Animators.
• Support the bridge school teachers and animators to prepare and execute their monthly work plan.
• Assist in developing different training courses and training materials for teachers and animators;
• Ensure frequent field visit and provide continuous support to the teachers and share with PM, Area Coordinator and Monitoring & Documentation Office.
• To keep close communication with parents, students and other community members.
• Ensure the effective functioning of Bridge School Management Committees (BSMC)
• Other task may be assigned by the project management as and when required.
• S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
