Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Skills and Competencies:

Candidates must be proficient in English.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and resolve conflicts.
Excellent knowledge of procurement and supply chain management practices and principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities & Context

Oversee the purchasing process for all raw materials, supplies, and services required by the company.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet operational needs, while ensuring competitive pricing and maintaining quality standards.
Work with internal teams to understand material requirements and support their supply needs.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they align with the company’s quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of sale.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
Establish and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring that all purchasing activities stay within financial guidelines.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, bulk purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
Track and report on spending trends and implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials and supplies are available to meet production or project needs.
Work closely with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock management and prevent overstocking or stock out.
Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize waste and improve turnover rates.
Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes, implementing best practices to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
Implement and maintain automated procurement systems or tools to manage orders, supplier communications, and inventory tracking.
Prepare regular purchasing reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics such as spending, supplier performance, and inventory status.
Use data analytics to identify trends, forecast material requirements, and make informed purchasing decisions.
