  • Working experience with ACF / Refugee camp will be benefit.
  • Strong understanding and field level experience of Refugee camps and recommended implementation guideline.
  • Proven experience in team management, supervision, reporting, etc)

Responsibilities & Context

Objective 1: Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of children while engaging caregivers and communities in creating a supportive and nurturing environment.

  • Plan, organize, and deliver child-friendly, age-appropriate ECCD activities focusing on play-based learning to develop children’s physical, cognitive, and creative abilities.
  • Support timely, high-quality development, planning, and implementation of ECCD programs in collaboration with the broader nutrition and health team.
  • Guide and support children in exploring and using learning materials, tools, and resources during ECCD activities.
  • Ensure the ECCD zone is safe, clean, and well maintained, with proper registration and care for all attending children.
  • Promote health, nutrition, and hygiene practices as part of ECCD activities and sites.
  • Maintain and ensure the availability, organization, and proper storage of ECCD materials and kits.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks and maintain an up-to-date inventory register for ECCD tools and materials.
  • Engage with mothers and caregivers through awareness sessions to emphasize the importance of ECCD in child development.
  • Follow up on the absence of children to ensure continuity and engagement in ECCD programs.
  • Provide educational and recreational activities, including indoor/outdoor games, songs, dances, and role-playing, to stimulate children’s psychomotor growth.
  • Identify and address psychological, emotional, and behavioral difficulties among children and caregivers through counseling and tailored support sessions.
  • Develop and implement individualized action plans for children and families needing specialized psychological or psychosocial support.
  • Refer critical cases to specialized services and maintain a follow-up system to ensure continuity of care.
  • Organize and implement psychosocial support activities, including group discussions, creative or recreational sessions, structured play, and mediation activities.
  • Observe and address care practices that may contribute to malnutrition and barriers to treatment acceptance.
  • Conduct mother-child dyad sessions focusing on psychosocial stimulation, such as play and massage activities, to strengthen caregiver-child bonding.
  • Contribute to mapping relevant actors (e.g., referral networks) and establish referral systems to ensure access to additional services.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with the nutrition teams to integrate PSS activities into broader programming.
  • Regularly monitor PSS activities to ensure quality and document outcomes, including critical cases and referrals.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive environment to enhance children’s emotional well-being and functional referral with health actors.

Objective 2: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity report.

• Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;

• Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;

• Ensure the incorporation of PSEA and gender equity principles in all policies and activities;

• Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
