About ASED Habigonj:

The Association for Socio-Economic Development (ASED HABIGONJ) is a nonprofit organization empowering community through sustainable development initiatives. With financial assistance from Childaid Network, Germany, ASED HABIGONJ will implement the 3 years Enhance Quality and Inclusive Primary Education (EQUIP) in Tea Garden and Haor Area Project in Bahubal upazila under Habiganj district.

The EQUIP project aims to improve the quality and inclusivity of primary education for marginalized children in the Tea Garden and Haor regions of Habiganj. The EQUIP project focuses on enhancing the quality and inclusivity of primary education in the Tea Garden and Haor areas, targeting underprivileged children and their families. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Officer for the EQUIP Project, which focuses on advancing quality and inclusive primary education and community engagement.

Job Summary:

The School Officer will be responsible for supporting schools in the implementation of project activities under the EQUIP initiative. The position requires a dedicated individual with experience in working within education systems, particularly in rural and underprivileged settings.

Job Responsibilities:·

• Coordinate with school management committees, teachers, and local education authorities to implement project activities effectively.
• Conduct regular school visits to monitor teaching practices, attendance, and student progress.
• Facilitate teacher training programs to improve the quality of education delivery.
• Organize community engagement sessions to encourage school enrollment and reduce dropout rates and gender barriers.
• Assist in the development and distribution of learning materials to schools.
• Maintain accurate records of school-level activities and prepare reports for submission to the Project Manager.
• Support schools in adopting inclusive education practices to accommodate children from diverse backgrounds.
• Identify challenges faced by schools and propose actionable solutions.
• Promote awareness of the importance of education among parents and community members.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bengali.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to operate a motorcycle with a valid driving license.
