Education

  • Masters, Diplomas from abroad or Certification in M&E, IMS, PMP, PMD PRO, PRINCE2 or related fields an added value.

  • The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading NGOs, with a focus on responding to displacement, have been registered in Bangladesh since 2013. In 2017, in response to the Rohingya influx, DRC launched an integrated program of support to the government in site management, shelter/NFI and protection. In 2018, DRC started implementing aid projects in support of the host communities most affected by the influx of refugees. As a key part of this, DRC opened an area office in Cox’s Bazar, and a country office in Dhaka.

POSITION PROFILE

  • The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer for DRC Country office in Bangladesh will support the technical and operational planning and implementation of all MEAL activities required to improve and maintain programmes’ quality, following proposal approval. The MEAL Officer will ensure high programme quality over the course of project implementation as a part of Programme Quality Team.
  • This includes, among other responsibilities: a) Develop and review MEAL plans, reports and IPTTs, b) Manage data collection tools and methodologies for sampling and monitoring of the Field level data collection, c) Deliver quality MEAL inputs for proposal, learning and build the capacity of both MEAL and project officers, d) Conduct data quality checks and data validation of IPTTs and process and outcome monitoring datasets e) Review reports and data analysis prepared.
  • The MEAL Officer will be responsible for process and outcome monitoring and will provide support to project teams for developing and coordinating output monitoring and database design and management. As assigned by MEAL Teal Leader, the MEAL Officer will also be co-responsible for revising and maintaining the IPTTs to ensure proper sex, age, and specific needs segregated are documented and ensuring information support for the management.
