Essential:

  • Experience in the Humanitarian Response/Development sector, General Food Assistance.
  • Practical knowledge in Project Implementation, Social/Community Mobilization, Reporting & Documentation, Facilitation, Monitoring & Evaluation,
  • Excellent in Financial management, Decision making, Conflict resolution, Leadership, Self-development & Staff Management.
  • Excellent Coordination/Advocacy/Networking/Communication Skills
  • Problem Solving, Planning, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge in Reading / Writing/Speaking/Listening in English & Bengali.
  • Proven Expertise in Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
  • Disposition of a team player.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in Basic Photographic & Strategic Management.

Responsibilities & Context

Oversee outlet operation management – 30%

  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of the physical setup of the outlet and FFM to ensure it is ready for food distribution.
  • Monitor stock levels at the outlet and coordinate with the outlet operator for timely replenishment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at the outlet and FFM.
  • Ensure all activities at the outlet align with project SOPs, guidelines, and donor requirements.
  • Ensure all food commodities at the outlet align with WFP food quality guidelines.
  • Document and report distribution data, challenges, and incidents to the Project Manager.
  • Submit daily outlet & FFM performance and inventory reports.

Maintain orderly ambiance through efficient crowd management – 15%

  • Implement strategies to manage queues and avoid overcrowding at the outlet.
  • Respond promptly to any disputes or disturbances among beneficiaries.
  • Collaborate with security personnel (if available) to maintain order.

Real-time communication with Community Mobilizers on beneficiary mobilization – 15%

  • Communicate with community mobilizers to track the arrival of beneficiaries in real-time.
  • Address mobilization delays or disruptions in consultation with community mobilizers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain communication with community mobilizers for timely movement of right holders.

Monitor transaction flow, and ensure adequate and timely supply-chain – 10%

  • Supervise outlet operators to ensure they follow proper procedures for loading food items into beneficiaries’ buckets.
  • Provide guidance and support to operators to resolve any operational issues.
  • Maintain a daily checklist to ensure all transactions are smooth and accurate.

On-ground problem solving – 10%

  • Act as the first point of contact for resolving on-ground issues during distribution.
  • Identify recurring challenges and recommend improvements to outlet management processes.

Maintain collaboration with IRB co-workers to keep distribution smooth – 10%

  • In collaboration with IRB co-workers, ensure daily pre- and post-distribution meetings are held in the presence of outlet operation management.
  • Conduct exit monitoring and exit interview of regular intervals and to an accepted number.
  • Assist Help Desk official to resolve any beneficiary grievance in coordination with outlet operation management.
  • Maintain good collaboration with GO, NGO, Community, Retailer etc.
  • Provide information on visitors, their feedback and recommendations
  • Arrange monthly meeting with outlet Retailers and FFM small retailers.

Others – 10%

  • Safe-keep and maintain different registers (e.g. movement register, pre-, post-distribution meeting minutes register, etc.) at outlet level
  • Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently for extended Activities. periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects
  • Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding. for establishing a safe working environment
  • Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child
  • Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
