Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

• Name of Project: “Enhancing Disaster Resilience Capacity of the Monsoon Flood Affected Population of the Sirajganj District in Bangladesh Project “.
• Duration of Project: 2 Years & 9 Months (April 2024 to December 2026)
• Supported by: Oxfam in Bangladesh
• Funded by: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Implementation:

• Lead the development and execution of detailed project work plans.
• Ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities, in alignment with the project’s objectives and donor requirements.
• Coordinate with the project team, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Team Management:
• Supervise and provide guidance to project staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide capacity-building opportunities for team members.

Budget & Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and donor requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports as required by MMS, Oxfam and KOICA.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

• Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework to track project progress and impact.
• Ensure timely collection, analysis, and reporting of data to measure project outcomes.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and provide technical support.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders.
• Represent MMS in meetings, workshops, and other forums related to project activities.
• Ensure effective communication of project progress and achievements to stakeholders and donors.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare and submit high-quality progress reports, case studies, and other documentation as required by MMS management and donor.
• Document and share best practices and lessons learned from the project.

Risk Management:

• Identify and manage potential risks to the successful delivery of the project.
• Develop contingency plans to address challenges and ensure project continuity.

Compliance:

• Ensure that all project activities comply with MMS policies, donor guidelines, and government regulations.
• Maintain an understanding of current developments in disaster resilience and incorporate relevant knowledge into the project.
