B.Sc./Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized institute.
Minimum 03 years (Bachelor)/05 years (Diploma) demonstrated working experience in engineering field, preferably in WASH/infrastructures services sector.
KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
Current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development.
Competence in analyzing the social and gender dynamics within urban set up.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills
Capable to design, drawing and estimate Water and Sanitation infrastructures independently.
Substantial experience in operations management in the urban areas
Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting
Strong analytical skills, be gender sensitive, and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
Awareness of political processes and protocols

Strengthening Resilience through Gender-Responsive and Integrated Services (RISe) project of BRAC aims to enhance the resilience of low-income urban communities against the impacts of climate change. It prioritizes the development of climate-resilient, gender-responsive services and community infrastructure to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. The project focuses on empowering ultra-poor households, especially women, by strengthening their socio-economic resilience to adapt to climate challenges. Additionally, RISe addresses climate-induced health risks by promoting equitable access to knowledge, raising awareness, and providing improved healthcare services at the community level.
Operationalize the WASH Infrastructure development related activities and ensure the smooth implementation; provide strategic direction and guidance to field staff for successful implementation and ensuring that the required results are achieved.
• Prepare the design, drawings and specifications in preparation of sub-contractor scope. Identify and support to implement of demand based (Urban) WASH/infrastructure technologies and interventions.
• Prepare the specifications for all equipment that is required for the project.
• Continuous follow up of progress on implementing WASH/infrastructure interventions against community action plan, identify opportunity/constraint, provide appropriate feedback & support to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the projects.
• Ensure quality control of the infrastructure development related work (budget, estimate, schedule, plans, and worker’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure technical support and provide assistance to the community mason/worker and other project participants.
• Interact with the clients (mason, worker and community members) to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Ensure the agreed quality and standard during construction for sustainability issue.
• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
