- MIS and MEAL skill will get priority.

- Fluent in spoken and written Bangla and English.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
- Computer skills: Very good skills in MS Office applications-word/excel/power point presentation, database and familiar with Internet. Typing speed must be high.
- Motorcycle driving skills with a valid license is a must
Responsibilities & Context
Develop a yearly training calendar and map community-level accessible venues.
Identify children with disabilities, their parents, health workers, community leaders, and local government representatives from the community for capacity-building initiatives.
Ensure training is conducted in accessible venues with provisions for reasonable accommodations.
Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and develop mitigation plans considering risks faced by children with disabilities.
Ensure training methods and materials are accessible and inclusive for all participants.
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and provide follow-up support based on participants’ requirements.
Compile training reports following the prescribed format.
Contribute to the development of training materials and provide training to various organizations on disability and development aspects, as needed, at the community level.
Ensure safe training programs are planned, implemented, and monitored, with the identification of children and youth with disabilities throughout the project period.
Adhere to the “Do No Harm” principles at every stage of the project within the Program Management Cycle.
Position Title: Field Trainer
Program: The meaningful Participation and Inclusion of Children and Youth with Disabilities in all domain of CBR.
Location: Assasuni, Satkhira
Reporting To: Project Coordinator.
Job Overview:
The Field Trainer will be responsible for preparing training modules, organizing and facilitating training sessions, and building the capacity of community stakeholders, beneficiaries, families, and program staff. The role focuses on enhancing the participation and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities across all domains of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR).
Organization brief: IDEAL (Institute of Development Education for Advancement of Landless) is a local NGO established in 1987 in the Parulia village of Debhata Upazila under Satkhira District of Bangladesh. In 1987, few young educated people formed IDEAL with a view to promote social activities. From the beginning, IDEAL started to organize local poor people into different homogenous groups with the objective to secure their rights and to help them assume responsibilities which would lead to their empowerment and promote self-employment. IDEAL started water and sanitation programs considering safe water crisis in the locality and lack of sanitation practices. Then it started social forestry program as part of its environmental conservation and poverty eradication program. Savings and micro-credit programs also started for employment generation and economic empowerment. Adult literacy and non-formal primary education programs started as part of basic education for the adult people and dropout children from the poor families especially girls. IDEAL took registration from department social welfare in 1991, NGO- AB in 1996 Department of Youth development in 2003 and Microcredit regulatory authority in 2008. IDEAL have a constitution and the organization is directed by the constitution.
In 2003 IDEAL started reducing vulnerability to climate change programs as southwestern part of the country is frequently affected by climate change effects. As Bangladesh is the most vulnerable country of climate change effects and southwestern part of the country is the main area of natural calamities so, IDEAL is continuing its “Reduce in lendability to climate change program” with great importance
In 2009, the Child Empowerment Project was launched under the Disability Development Program with the funding of Lilien Fonds (LF) Netherlands
In 2014, the Bio-Gas and Biofertilizer and Improve Cook Stove Project was launched under the Renewable Energy Program with the support of EDCOL.
Project brief: Community-Based Inclusive Development is an aim or goal or an end result to be achieved of making communities and society at large inclusive of all marginalized groups and their concerns, including persons with disabilities. The rationale is that no one should be excluded from development for any reason, be it gender, disability, ethnicity, refugee status, sexuality or any other issue. CBR is the tool or strategy to achieve the goal of Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) for persons with disability, just as other interest groups in the community (gender etc.), use their own strategies to make development inclusive of their constituents. CBID is disability focused approached and believes in the leadership of persons with disabilities who have tacit knowledge of barriers and discrimination they face in the community.
Inclusive development means that partnerships and alliances are necessary between different stakeholders, especially between DPOs, families of persons with disabilities and governments. The development of the CBR Guidelines is an example of effective partnerships between multiple stakeholders’ I-e UN agencies, DPOs, governments, donor agencies and civil society including national and international non-governmental organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development and Delivery:
- Design and adapt training materials and modules on CBR and disability inclusion principles as a professional trainer.
- Conduct training sessions for government authority, community members, families, educators, healthcare providers, and program/project staffs or as required.
- Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to enhance participants’ understanding and application of inclusive practices.
- Capacity Building:
- Identify training needs of stakeholders and tailor content to address specific gaps.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, training, and peer learning sessions to promote best practices in inclusion.
- Community Engagement:
- Work closely with families and caregivers to support the active participation of children and youth with disabilities.
- Promote awareness and understanding of disability rights and the importance of inclusion.
- Support community-led initiatives to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in CBR programs.
- Ensure Community Accountability and safeguarding.
- Excellent community engagement and communication skill is required.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and Annual Report in In English and share to supervisor and higher Management.
- Documentation project learnings and ensure preserving those documents for further use.
- Keep regular liaison with donor training department and share this with supervisor.
- Event report is required as per session.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Assess the effectiveness of training sessions and adjust content based on feedback and outcomes.
- Collect data and document, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from field activities and share it with the supervisor.
- Prepare and submit regular training reports to the Project Coordinator.
- Collaboration with Program Team:
- Work in close coordination with program/project staff to ensure alignment of training with program objectives.
- Support the development and dissemination of informational materials for the program.
- Any other task assigned by the higher management.
