Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Business Administration

Bachelors in Business Administration or any relevant discipline from a recognised university/ institution.

Experience

  • At least 6 years

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of major institutional donor requirements (UNHCR, USAID, GAC, DFAT and DFID).
  • Strong understanding of the financial aspects of grant management.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively and communicate articulately with donors and external parties.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including expertise in grant management.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Purpose: The Grant Manager will support GRP in ensuring donor funds are managed effectively and in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. This role involves overseeing grant obligations within BRAC and with donors while working closely with Programme Implementation, Finance and Operations on proposals, monitoring and analysis, reports and, compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the grant management process by drafting and submitting reports, liaising with donors on requirements, and updating tracking systems.
  • Facilitate key meetings (Kick-Off, Grant Review, and Close-Out), participate in global learning forums, and proactively resolve issues through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to BRAC’s grant and sub-grant management policies, donor compliance requirements, and partner vetting processes while reviewing proposals, budgets, and contracts with a compliance lens.
  • Draft sub-grant agreements, communicate compliance elements, and address potential compliance issues promptly.
  • Support proposal budget reviews for donor compliance, and monitor grants to resolve identified issues.
  • Maintain the Cluster’s portfolio and reporting trackers.
  • Manage grant files per BRAC procedures and serve as the Cluster GMS super user, ensuring adherence to system guidelines, data quality, and effective use of reporting functions.
  • Provide regular updates on portfolio performance, identify and resolve issues, and support action plan development and implementation based on grant metrics.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
