Responsibilities & Context

The trainers will be responsible for a range of activities aimed at ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the swimming pool, as outlined below:

• Conduct Swimming Lessons:Trainers will plan and conduct at least 2-3 swimming lessons per day, depending on the enrollment of students. Lessons will cater to varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
• Supervise Pool Use by Experienced Swimmers :Trainers will oversee the swimming pool usage by students who already know how to swim, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and organized manner.
• Monitor Pool Safety: Trainers will ensure that all safety regulations are followed by the students during pool use. This includes monitoring water safety, enforcing pool rules, and assisting in emergencies if needed.
• Oversee Swimming Pool SoD (Student on Duty):Trainers will supervise the assigned Swimming Pool SoD during open swimming sessions, ensuring that they fulfill their responsibilities in terms of student safety and pool management. Manage Pool Lockers Trainers will be responsible for managing the lockers, ensuring they are assigned, maintained, and utilized efficiently.
• Maintain Pool Equipment and Facilities: Trainers will be responsible for ensuring that the pool’s equipment, such as kickboards, pull buoys, and life-saving equipment, are in good condition and properly stored. Any equipment damage or issues should be reported promptly to pool management.
• Assist in Pool Events: Trainers may be required to assist in the planning and execution of any swimming events, competitions, or workshops organized by IUB, ensuring that such events are safe, well-organized, and beneficial to student participants. Coordinate with DoSA and Office of the Admin Trainers will work closely with DoSA to ensure that the pool meets all health regulations and remains a safe environment for users.
• Record Keeping: Trainers will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of swimming lessons, attendance, pool usage, and locker management, which will be reported to the pool manager on a weekly basis.
